Welcome to your local library of things at the Share Shack

Do you want to mow the lawn, put up a shelf or throw a party? Why buy those big, expensive items when you can borrow them for free from your local Share Shack.

Share Shack is all about people coming together to share, learn, create and grow. A space to connect with each other by borrowing, repairing, re-using and being creative. Click on the myTurn Inventory above to browse our library of things - we have a range of items available including DIY tools, toys, sports kit and gardening equipment. By borrowing items instead of buying, you can save money, reduce waste and we can encourage everyone to help each other by sharing more.

How to join

It’s easy to join and borrow items for free from the Share Shacks using myTurn. Find out how to here. When you’re ready to collect your item/s, you’ll need to visit the Share Shack where the item is located during its opening times. 

Please bring proof of ID and address the first time you borrow, as well as your Wellbeing Card if you have this. You must be over 18 to join (we will ask for proof of this) and sign the Borrower's Agreement.

Membership

Whilst it’s free to borrow, we ask is that you take care of the items, use them correctly, and return them on time, so other members can benefit from them.

More than just things

The Share Shack space is for all the community to enjoy, as well as for borrowing items. We will be offering events and workshops at the Share Shacks and would love you to take part or help run these to share skills with each other. There are lots of ways you can support the project including sharing your skills or volunteering with us. Just email shareshack@theaws.org to get involved.
